How Txt banking works
To do this, you’ll need to register your mobile number for Txt banking in Online Banking.
If you aren’t registered for Online Banking you can still register for Txt banking
by calling 0800 400 600 (7am – 11pm, 7 days a week)  
visiting your local Westpac branch  
How to get your account balances by txt
To get the latest balances for your two selected accounts, simply
Txt ‘b’ to 202.
You should get a reply txt with your account balances in seconds!

How to transfer money between your accounts by txt
If you choose two accounts when you set up Txt banking, you can transfer money from your savings or back-up account to your main account by txt.
To transfer money from one account to the other simply
Text t and the amount you want to transfer (i.e. t 100 to transfer $100) and send it to 202

Cost of Txt banking
It’s free to register for Txt banking and there’s no monthly fee.
Txt banking charges are as follows:
Txts you receive
You'll get 10 free txts from Westpac each month. You can use these free txts for txt alerts and Txt banking balances and transfer confirmations
Additional txts costs 25c each to receive*
Online Guardian Challenge Service txts are always free of charge.
Txts you send
As with regular txt messages, your mobile phone company will charge you for each txt you send to Westpac, for example, when you request your account balance or a money transfer. Please contact your provider for details of their fees and charges.

Registering for Txt banking
Online Banking customers can register for Txt banking now. Simply login to Online Banking, select ‘Banking on your mobile’ from the left hand menu and follow the on-screen instructions.
