The term 'business day' refers to every day except Saturday, Sunday and national public holidays.
1: How long does it take to see a payment into the Westpac KiwiSaver Scheme?
You will see payments made into your account in the Westpac KiwiSaver Scheme after three business days.
2: What are the cut-off times for online transactions?
Online Banking transactions for overnight processing
the cut-off time is 10pm on business days
amending or cancelling future-dated payments and transfers processing today has a 9pm cut-off.
Online Banking transactions completed
before 10pm on a business day are processed that night
after 10pm will be processed the next business day.
A payment made at 10.10pm on a Tuesday
will show in the receiving account on Thursday.
A payment made at 10.10pm on a Friday
will show in the receiving account on the following Tuesday.
3: What happens to my money when I make a payment or transfer for today?
When you complete a payment for processing today
we’ll check you have enough funds in your account
if you have enough funds, we’ll ‘hold’ the money for processing
holding funds is your confirmation that the transaction will be processed that night—on business days only
you’ll see this confirmation immediately on your online transaction list
This excludes payments or transfers from a credit card.
Transfers between your Westpac accounts
we ‘hold’ the funds when you confirm an online transaction
however, you will have immediate access to these funds in your other Westpac account.
