How to top up your prepaid card

Follow the instructions below to load money onto your Express card, Travel card or Prepaid card.

Topping up your prepaid card at a Westpac branch
You can top up your prepaid card at any Westpac branch.
> find your nearest Westpac branch
Using Westpac Online Banking to top up your prepaid card
If your prepaid card is showing in Online Banking
you can simply transfer money onto it from your bank account.  
If your prepaid card is not showing in Online Banking
login to Online Banking and click on ‘Transfer money/Pay anyone’ (see figure 1)  
select ‘Set up and save someone new to pay online’ and enter the card as a ‘Westpac Visa’ (see figure 2)  
follow the rest of the instructions to complete the set-up.

To get your prepaid card to show in your Online Banking profile
call us on 0800 888 111 and select option 1.  
Using Westpac Phone Banking to top up your prepaid card
If you are a Westpac customer with a transaction account
call 0800 400 600 to have the card loaded onto your Phone Banking profile.  
Once the card is loaded in Phone Banking
call Phone Banking on 0800 172 172  
enter your customer ID and PIN  
select option 2—‘transfer funds or bill payments’  
select option 1—‘transfer funds’  
follow the voice prompts to choose where you want to transfer money from and to.  
If you have phone banking with another bank
you will need to contact your own bank and set your prepaid card up as a bill payment.  
Using an ATM to top up your prepaid card
You can top up your prepaid card at any Westpac ATM enabled to take deposits
select the ‘deposit’ option  
select the 'credit card account' option  
follow the prompts to complete your top-up.

Topping up your prepaid card if you’re not a Westpac customer
If you’re not a Westpac customer, you can load money onto to your prepaid card using your own bank’s bill payment facility.
You will need to contact your own bank to do this.
