What sort of investment is the Term PIE Fund?
The Term PIE Fund  
is a unit trust with investors acquiring units of $1.00 each  
invests solely in a New Zealand dollar, interest bearing account with Westpac  
works in a similar way to investing in a Westpac Term Deposit – investments are for a fixed term and fixed rate of return  
offers some investors the advantage of having their investment income taxed at a lower rate - if they’re normally taxed at 33% or 38%.  
Who should invest in the Term PIE Fund?*
Income earned from investing in the Term PIE Fund is subject to Portfolio Investment Entity (PIE) tax up to 30%, the current maximum Prescribed Investor Rate (PIR). The Term PIE Fund may be a suitable investment option if you
are currently on a marginal tax rate of 33% or 38%,
are looking for a low risk investment,
have $5,000 or more to invest,
want to invest for a fixed term, and
want a competitive rate of return on your investment.
