| You need to enable cookies in your browser to use Online Banking. Internet Explorer 7 will normally allow you to accept session cookies. |

| However, if we send you a message asking you to allow session cookies, you can do one of three things: |

- select 'Tools' from the menu bar
- select 'Internet Options...' from the dropdown list (see figure 1)
- choose the 'Privacy' tab.

- if your privacy settings are higher than the default 'Medium', click 'Default'
- click 'OK'.

| Note: You won’t be able to customise your privacy settings if your privacy setting is 'Block all cookies'. |

- select 'Tools' from the menu bar
- select 'Internet Options...' from the dropdown list (see figure 1)
- choose the 'Privacy' tab.

- click the 'Advanced' button
- select 'Override automatic cookie handling'
- select 'Always allow session cookies' (see figure 3)
- click 'OK', and then 'OK' again.

- select 'Internet Options...' from the dropdown list (see figure 1)

- click the 'Sites' button
- type in 'sec.westpac.co.nz' under 'Address of Web site' (see figure 4)
- select 'Allow'
- click 'OK', and then 'OK' again.

| These settings will make sure your browser complies with our 128-bit SSL security standards. |

- select 'Tools' from the menu bar
- select 'Internet Options...' from the dropdown list (see figure 1)
- choose the 'Advanced' tab.

- scroll right down to section called 'Security'
- make sure that 'Use SSL 3.0' is enabled (see figure 5)
- click 'OK'.

- scroll to the 'Security' section
- scroll to the 'Phishing Filter' (see figure 5)
- select 'Turn on automatic website checking'
- click 'Apply' and then 'OK'.

| Once you have finished configuring your browser settings, please close and then re-open your browser. |
