How do I register for Txt Banking?
Follow the steps below to register for Txt banking using Online Banking:  
Step 1
Login to Online Banking
Step 2
From your Online Banking welcome screen, select ‘Banking on your mobile’ from the left hand menu.
Step 3
Follow the step-by-step instructions on screen to nominate which accounts you want to use for your txt balance enquiries and transfers and enter your mobile number.
Step 4
We’ll send an activation code to your mobile phone which you need to enter into Online Banking to prove that it is your mobile number.
If you aren’t registered for Online Banking you can still register for Txt banking
by calling 0800 400 600 (7am – 11pm, 7 days a week)  
visiting your local Westpac branch  
Can I register more than one mobile for txt balance enquiries?
No. Only one mobile number can be registered for all Banking on your mobile services.

I use Phone Banking already — will registering for Txt banking affect this?
The account you choose as your main account for txt balances and to transfer money will become the account balance that is usually automatically read out (your Fast Balance) when you call Phone Banking.

Once I’m registered, can I use Txt banking from any mobile phone?
No. You can only get account balances and transfer money by txt with the mobile number you registered for Banking on your mobile.

How do I cancel my registration for Txt banking?
To cancel your Txt banking registration using Online Banking:
login to Online Banking  
select ‘Banking on your mobile’ from the left hand menu  
select ‘Cancel Txt banking’ and follow the on-screen instructions and your mobile will immediately be unsubscribed from Txt banking. Other Banking on your mobile services will remain the same.  
Note: You’ll still be able to use Online Banking
If you are registered for Txt banking, but not an Online Banking customer you can cancel your Txt banking registration by:
calling 0800 400 600 (7am – 11pm, 7 days a week)  
visiting your local Westpac branch

How do I change the mobile number registered for Txt banking?
To update your Txt banking registration details with a new mobile number
login to Online Banking  
select the ‘Banking on your mobile’ option from the left hand menu  
select ‘Amend mobile number’ and enter your new mobile number  
follow the screen instructions to update and confirm your new details  
We’ll send an activation code to your mobile phone which you need to enter into Online Banking to prove that it is your mobile number.  
If you are registered for Txt banking, but not an Online Banking customer you can change the mobile number registered for Txt banking by:
calling 0800 400 600 (7am – 11pm, 7 days a week)  
visiting your local Westpac branch

Can I change the account nominated for txt balance enquiries?
Yes. To change your account nominated for Txt Banking balance enquiries and money transfers
login to Online Banking
choose the ‘Banking on your mobile’ option from the left hand menu
select ‘Amend Txt banking’ and follow the on-screen prompts to update your nominated account details.
